Description of Identcode (Deutsche Post, DHL)
 The Identcode (identification code) and Leitcode (routing code) are used by Deutsche Post AG (DHL). Both codes together are used for the automatic distribution of freight shipments in freight mail centers. The barcodes on the shipments are automatically scanned in the freight centers. The barcode uses the symbology of the numeric Code 25 Interleaved, but with a differently calculated checksum.

The following information is contained in this code:
- Positions 1 to 2: Outgoing freight mail center.
- Positions 3 to 5: Customer ID.
 The customer identification number (customer ID) is assigned by Deutsche Post.
- Positions 6 to 11: Delivery number.
- Position 12: Check digit.
